Three Panthers scored in double figures as the varsity girls basketball team knocked off Parma Senior High School, 56-36, on Wednesday (Dec. 9) night at The Coliseum.
With the win, Elyria Catholic improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in Great Lakes Conference play.
Senior Riley Schill scored 18 points, sophomore Megan Scheibelhut added 12 and junior Nora Hopkins chipped in 11 in a game that the Panthers led by 27 after the third quarter.
The Panthers, winners in two straight, are idle until a Dec. 21 trip to North Canton Hoover. Please note that the game at St. Vincent-St. Mary which was originally scheduled for next Wednesday (Dec. 16) has been moved to Friday, January 22nd to accommodate EC’s student-athletes during Finals Week.
